PEOPLE

1. WHAT DOES THE HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT STUDY PROGRAM OFFER?

Human resources management is the preparation of independent human resources for small and medium-sized organizations, i.e. professionals/specialists in personnel departments in the corporate sphere and in public and state administration organizations. Graduates of the study program also acquire sufficient knowledge to be able to continue their studies at the master's degree level immediately after graduation or with a several-year interval, according to their choice and needs.

As part of studying Human Resource Management, you can choose from two unique professional specializations:

A.   Small and medium-sized companies doing business in the field of services - (we will teach you everything that an independent HR needs, from recruiting employees and their motivation and remuneration to caring for working conditions). Our professional partners are Vienna House Diplomat Prague a Computer System Group, a.s.

B.   Large and multinational companie - (do you want to specialize in recruitment, remuneration and benefits, corporate training and personnel administration)?

SUBJECTS IN PROFILE:

Human resources

You will learn to maintain proper personnel administration, be able to hire or dismiss an employee, set their salary, schedule shifts and perform other activities required by the Labor Code, which are among the basic skills of a human resources manager. Just as a house is built from the ground up, human resource management builds on perfectly working human resources.

Personnel marketing

Being able to attract the best job seekers for a company or institution is one of the important skills of a human resources manager. In Personnel Marketing, you will learn how to use classic and state-of-the-art methods of communication with job seekers..

Human Resources Development in the organization

People are the most valuable capital of any organization. The resources devoted to recruiting them would be useless if we did not further educate our employees and enable them to maintain their qualifications at the level needed for what we do today and what we will do tomorrow.

Personal management

Human resource management in organizations is not just a matter for HR professionals, but above all for all managers. What is the division of labor between managers and HR professionals and what does the term employee as a human resources management entity mean?

Business economics

Whether the organization does business or is a charity or non-profit organization, its activities are always limited by the resources it can spend on its operations and therefore on employees. Without an understanding of the laws of business economics, an HR professional cannot be an equal partner for management.

Labor law and employment law

Labor law is the cornerstone of employing people. Just as we cannot drive on the road without knowing the rules of the road, we cannot employ people without knowledge of the Labor Code and other regulations.

Rhetoric and communication

Even in the digital age, the ability to communicate, negotiate and argue is one of the most valuable skills. Interpersonal communication, and especially work communication, has its own rules, laws and procedures. Who knows them and how to use them has an advantage.

    Adam KlavíkTourism Management

I graduated with a bachelor's degree from the College of European and Regional Studies in České Budějovice and transferred to UCB in Prague to do my master's degree. Great choice – UCB is much more like a public school and the quality of lecturers is 100% better. For example, my teacher Mrs. Palatková is someone to know in tourism.

    Jan Šrámek

At UCB, I learned to be independent and gained experience in the field. Wherever we entered student competitions, we walked away with awards. During my studies I became part of the organizational structure of several projects in tourism. I can't wait to start working full time.

I graduated from UCB, now I teach here. Much has changed over the years. The school is constantly moving forward, focusing more on gaining practice, the subjects are more professional and tightly focused. Although the competition on the market is huge, UCB is doing very well and I can heartily recommend it.

    Kristína Jíšová

UCB is one of the few schools in the Czech Republic that really does offer experience. During our studies, we worked on projects where the results were then taken up by the National Monuments Institute. Many lectures were also given by external lecturers, so we learned how things really work in the world.

Work never bothered Simona, so when she was given the chance to go to America to work as kitchen help, she didn't hesitate for a moment. She got experience, made new friends, and traveled around the United States with the money she earned. This opened the door to job opportunities in Spain and England. She's working today.
